Security deposit

For each rental of the flat, a security deposit of €500 must be paid to cover any possible damage to the various facilities during the stay. This amount is justified by the quality and value of the equipment provided.

This deposit can be paid in two ways, at your convenience:

  • by transfer to the bank account mentioned in the rental contract, the amount then being returned to your bank account immediately after the end of your stay;
  • by registering using a bank card (Visa, MasterCard, Carte Bleue, Maestro) on the secure Tyllt* internet platform, as explained in detail below.

To avoid tenants having to tie up €500, we offer an innovative, secure and easy-to-use solution that allows you to set up this guarantee via the internet in just a few minutes without affecting the amount available on the bank card you are using.

To do this, the tenant needs just two documents:
– their identity card (to be copied on both sides as a jpg, png or pdf file);
– a bank card (Visa, MasterCard, Carte Bleue, Maestro)
in their name.

The security deposit procedure is very simple. Once the contract has been signed by the owners and the tenant, the latter must go to the Tyllt platform via this link specially dedicated to the Valmignon deposit (this link is also mentioned in the contract).

On this secure website, the tenant will be asked to create an account by providing their e-mail address.

They must then enter their full name, date of birth, telephone number, country and town of birth, and the start and end dates of the booking. They must also provide a copy of both sides of their identity card, in jpg, png or pdf format. This data is used to ensure that the user is indeed the hirer and is correctly identified. This also enhances the security of the operation.

Next, the tenant must enter the bank card they are the holder of and with which they wish to pay the deposit. This data is secured by W-HA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Orange Group, the payment service provider with which Tyllt works.

Once this data has been sent, that’s it! The tenant will receive confirmation of their deposit by email and will be able to track it at any time by logging on to the Tyllt platform. The deposit will be released at the end of the stay, subject to the inventory and inventory of fixtures being in order, and the tenant will be notified by email.

The great advantage of this option is that no amount is blocked on the tenant’s bank card: the monthly spending limit is not affected, and the linked bank account is not debited.

We opted for this option to avoid the use of paper cheques (which our bank in Belgium is unable to cash) and banknotes, which always carry certain risks for both landlords and tenants.
